MonaVie brand products have a purpose that extends beyond the wellness of our consumers. Our conservative harvesting process of the Acai berry supports and promotes the growth and preservation of the Amazon rain forest. Poachers are illegally cutting down between 5,000 and 10,000 acai palm trees each week simply to harvest a 12-inch section of the tree known as the heart of the palm. MonaVie is helping to create a demand for the acai berry, giving locals an economic incentive to harvest only the berries of the palms. Thus, we are providing a continual source of income for the locals and positively impacting the environment through the preservation of the trees.
Members can also make a difference in these children’s lives by purchasing acai berry bracelets that are made by local families in the Para region of Brazil. The ENTIRE proceeds are given to their school to hire teachers, purchase books and school supplies and provide children with meals.
